CLOCKTRAIL KIOSK GUIDE
One shared Android device. A private PIN for every employee.
Kiosk mode is included with ClockTrail at no additional software charge. Your company supplies the compatible Android phone or tablet, mount, power, and internet connection.
WHAT YOU NEED
A simple, company-controlled setup.
- A compatible Android phone or tablet
- Chrome and a reliable internet connection
- Continuous power and an optional secure mount
- A ClockTrail owner or administrator account

FOR OWNERS AND MANAGERS
Set up the shared kiosk.
Complete these steps before employees use the device.
- 1
Prepare the Android device
Use a company-controlled Android phone or tablet with current security updates, reliable internet, continuous power, and an optional wall or desk mount.
- 2
Create employee PINs
In ClockTrail, open Kiosks. Choose each active time-tracking employee and assign a different private 4–6 digit PIN.
- 3
Create a pairing code
Name the device—for example, Front desk kiosk—and create a six-digit code. The code works once and expires after 15 minutes.
- 4
Pair and install the kiosk
On the Android device, open Chrome and visit clocktrail.nooblyf.com/kiosk. Enter the pairing code, then use Chrome’s Install app or Add to Home screen option.
- 5
Lock the device to ClockTrail
Open Android Settings and search for App pinning or Screen pinning. Turn it on, require the device PIN before unpinning, open ClockTrail Kiosk, and pin the app from the recent-apps screen.
- 6
Test every punch
Use a test employee PIN to clock in, start and end a break, and clock out. Confirm the entries appear in ClockTrail before mounting the device for daily use.
FOR EMPLOYEES
Record each part of the workday.
The kiosk uses ClockTrail’s secure server time. A personal ClockTrail password is never entered on the shared device.
- 1
Enter your private PIN
Use only the PIN your manager assigned to you. Do not share it or leave it written beside the kiosk.
- 2
Choose the correct action
Tap Clock in when work begins, Start break and End break around a break, and Clock out when the shift ends.
- 3
Wait for confirmation
A successful message with your name appears after ClockTrail records the server time. Do not walk away while the screen still says Saving.
- 4
Report mistakes
If you choose the wrong action or forget a punch, tell your manager or use your personal ClockTrail account to request a correction. Do not repeat punches to guess at a fix.
QUICK FIXES
If the kiosk needs attention.
PIN not recognized
Check the digits and try once more. After five incorrect attempts, the kiosk pauses PIN entry for five minutes.
Kiosk is not paired
A manager should revoke the old device entry, create a new pairing code, and pair the Android device again.
No internet connection
Reconnect Wi-Fi or cellular service before punching. ClockTrail does not create offline time records.
Phone is lost or replaced
Open Kiosks from a manager account and revoke the device immediately. Employee passwords are never stored on the kiosk.
Privacy: ClockTrail kiosk mode uses PINs. It does not collect fingerprints, facial scans, or employee GPS location.
READY TO TRY IT?
Kiosk mode comes with the ClockTrail plan.
No kiosk software add-on. Bring the Android device that fits your workplace.
